Formed in Southern Saskatchewan, “5 Days in May” has emerged as one of Canada’s premier tribute bands honoring the legendary Blue Rodeo. Taking their name from one of Blue Rodeo’s most beloved songs, this dedicated group of musicians came together in 2025.
The band masterfully recreates and emulates Blue Rodeo’s signature blend of country, folk, and rock music. Their performances feature faithful renditions of classics like “Try,” “Lost Together,” and their namesake “5 Days in May.”
Having performed at venues throughout Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces, they’ve built a reputation for authentic, heartfelt shows that capture the spirit of Blue Rodeo’s music while adding their own prairie perspective. Through their tribute, they highlight Blue Rodeo’s immense contribution to Canadian cultural identity and continue to introduce new generations to this essential piece of Canadian musical heritage.
