Conservatory Musical Theatre Showcase - Day 2
Presented by the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts
- Thursday, January 18 - 6:30pm
Get ready for three nights of singing, dancing, and performing at the Conservatory Musical Theatre Showcase. Students from the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts’ youth musical theatre programs are sure to dazzle and delight the audience with their newly found triple threat status.
Performances on DAY 2 will include the following (in performance order):
Mini Glee is our youngest set of performers ages 4-5, with many making their debut on stage at this performance! They will be singing and dancing to a selection of songs from the beloved TV series Mister Roger's Neighbourhood. Words and music by Fred Rogers, arranged by Roger Emerson. This group is directed by Fallon Hantelman-Stewart with assistance from Elizabeth Madsen.
Junior Glee are our second youngest musical theatre students ages 6-7. They will be singing and dancing to a medley of Schoolhouse Rock! songs that originally aired in the 70’s and 80’s on Saturday morning TV. Words and music in the medley were written by Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, and Lynn Ahrens, arranged by Alan Billingsley. This group is directed by Fallon Hantelman-Stewart with assistance from Elizabeth Madsen.
This evening will also include a set of performances from our Private Music Lesson Students who are studying Musical Theatre music and repertoire.
There will be an intermission between the Junior Glee and our private lessons to reset the stage.
