The University of Regina Department of Music presents the Lois and Thomas Glenn 2025 Visiting Artist, Bang Lang Do, Pianist.

After touring across Canada as the winner of the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Competition, with a program of contemporary Canadian music, Bang Lang Do discovered the joy of presenting new works in an engaging way to an audience. Since then, she has premiered new works by Canadian and American composers such as Patricia Morehead, David Vayo, Amy Dunker.

She received prizes from national and international competitions and has played concerti with the Quebec Conservatory Orchestra , the University of Montreal Orchestra, and the Houston Civic Orchestra.

Her fascination with research in cognitive science and neuroscience has led to published articles (American Music Teacher, Iowa Music Teacher) as well as lectures and poster presentations (CMS, IMEA, Bangkok schools) on the topic of "Music and the Brain", relating research conclusions to applications in music learning and teaching.

In California since 2016, Dr Do teaches at Concordia University in Irvine, Santa Ana Community College, and accompanies. She is a qualified MBSR teacher, and a Music Together certified teacher. Her pedagogical articles on motivation, games in classrooms and how our brain learns are on www.MindfulMusicAcademy.com.
