Darke Hall Partners with SACHM

Darke Hall is proud to partner with the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum (SACHM),to support African Heritage Month through meaningful community engagement and live performance.

SACHM will host two important events to mark the close of African Heritage Month:

• African Heritage Month Wrap-Up Celebration
  February 27, 2026
  Government House, 4607 Dewdney Avenue

• African Heritage Month Kids’ Conference
  February 28, 2026

These events create space for reflection, learning, and celebration of the history and contributions of African Canadians in Saskatchewan and beyond.

The celebration continues on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 PM at Darke Hall with BLAK: Iconic Canadian Women in Music, led by acclaimed vocalist Krystle Dos Santos.

BLAK is more than a concert — it is a powerful educational and artistic experience honouring trailblazing Black Canadian women through song and storytelling. From spirituals and jazz to soul and contemporary classics, the performance highlights resilience, excellence, and the cultural impact of Black artists across generations.

As part of Darke Hall’s commitment to youth engagement and access, $10 tickets are available for anyone under 20 through the Learn Together initiative, ensuring that young people can experience this important work firsthand.

Through partnership and performance, Darke Hall and its community collaborators are working to create opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and celebration — using the power of live art to bring people together.
